The Württemberger Weinradweg invites you to discover Württemberg's wine culture by bike over a total of 360 kilometers. The stage described here leads for almost 120 km through vineyards and various cultivation areas between Rottenburg am Neckar and Esslingen am Neckar. The tour begins in the Upper Neckar growing region, the smallest wine-growing region in Württemberg, which extends around the cities of Tübingen and Rottenburg am Neckar. The history of viticulture comes to life in the Unterjesinger wine press museum. If you want to combine a wonderful view over the Neckar Valley to the elevations of the Albtrauf with wine knowledge, you should not miss the wine trail at the foot of the Wurmlinger chapel. The home of the famous valley wine is located at the foot of Hohenneuffen Castle. The town of Neuffen is located here as a wine-growing community with one of the highest vineyards in Württemberg. Past the Hölderlin town of Nürtingen and the town of Plochingen, it goes to the next wine-growing region and the destination of the stage: Esslingen am Neckar. The vines of the internationally renowned wines thrive on the southern slopes of the Neckar Valley above Esslingen. The wine adventure trail, which leads through the steep slopes of the city of Esslingen, offers breathtaking views.
